Henrico Humane Society is partnering with Henrico County Division of Recreation and Parks to provide a day of fun for you and your dog! Come to Deep Run Park for the 2nd Annual Bark in the Park. The event will be held on September 13, 2008 from 11 am to 2 pm and is FREE to the public! There will be a 2k 4 Paws Dog Walk to kick off the event, and all proceeds will benefit Henrico Humane Society!.

	2k 4 Paws Dog Walk Music by The Atkinsons Performance by Jonathan Austin, a local crowd favorite 30+ Vendors Dog Contests - $1 per entry Kissing Booth $1 per entry Caricaturist ($10 per drawing) Food for people and pets Speakers on dog-related topics Moon walk for kids ($1 per entry)

Dog Contests Greg McQuade, the morning news anchor for CBS 6, will MC the contests.

Additional Information:

Rain date will be September 14. In the event of rain on September 13, refer to this site to determine if the event will be moved to Sunday.
All animals must be at least 4 months old and up-to-date on their vaccinations.
All animals must be leashed or in a carrier. No retractable leashes, please.
Walk registration begins at 10:00 am. T-shirts and bandanas will be given to the first 200 walkers to check in the day of the event.
Walkers 12 years old and over must pay a minimum of $25 to participate in the dog walk. There is no charge for children under 12 or animals to walk.
